Masaya Matsu
Writer / Filmmaker / Creative Consultant
Masaya Matsu is a Tokyo-based filmmaker, writer, and producer with an international background spanning Japan and Europe.
After a decade-long career in graphic design and VFX, he founded Flower* Inc. in 2011 and began working across directing, producing, writing, and project development.
His work is rooted in imaginative and poetic storytelling, with an emphasis on original ideas, visual sensibility, and narratives that leave space for interpretation. His films have been selected and awarded at international film and advertising festivals.
Alongside his own films and writing, he works with filmmakers and creators on story development, project consulting, and international co-productions, particularly where different languages, cultures, and creative approaches intersect.
